From April 19 – 21, 2024, automotive enthusiasts from across the globe gathered for a spectacular weekend of world-class cars and world-class events along the sparkling La Jolla coastline.
LA JOLLA, CA (APRIL 22, 2024) – The 18th Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, held from April 19th to 21st, 2024, culminated in a dazzling display of automotive brilliance along the scenic Pacific coastline of La Jolla, California, at the grand event on Sunday, April 21st. Presented by LPL Financial and IWC Schaffhausen, this year’s event was a grandiose homage to the Roaring 20s and Glamorous 30s, blending the luxury and elegance of yesteryear with today’s cutting-edge style and sophistication.

The festivities commenced on Friday, April 19th with the famed La Jolla Concours d’Elegance Friday Night VIP soirée on the lawn at Ellen Browning Scripps Park. Themed ‘Expedition d’Elegance: The Road to Opulent Adventure,’ guests were transported into a world reminiscent of grand exploratory expeditions through the jungle and desert. The immersive evening was filled with lively music, craft cocktails, and tastings of gourmet delights from 19 of San Diego’s finest restaurants, setting a high bar for the events that followed.
On Saturday, April 20th, La Jolla Concours Tour d’Elegance offered a breathtaking drive through the foothills of northern San Diego County, featuring an impressive parade of 80 vintage and modern automobiles. It was an autophile’s dream to join fellow enthusiasts for a day on the open road, with visits to prized automobile collections and a private luncheon at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. Spectators gathered at various locations to marvel at the elegance in motion, with special parade stops in Rancho Santa Fe and La Jolla Shores. The festivities continued at ‘Porsches on Prospect,’ where 81 stunning Porsches took center stage amid live music and a festive atmosphere on Prospect Street in the village of La Jolla.
The 2024 La Jolla Concours d’Elegance culminated in the grand event on Sunday, April 21st, with 113 rare and exquisite vehicles gracing the lawns of La Jolla Cove’s Ellen Browning Scripps Park along the sparkling Pacific Ocean. The remarkable automobiles were curated by the expertise of a dedicated, all-volunteer committee led by Co-Chairs G. Michael Dorvillier and Robert F. Kerner Jr., and Chief Judge Nigel Matthews. The superior collections were highlighted by similarly superior experiences, including the La Jolla Champagne and Honey Tasting Garden, offering champagne cocktails, tastings of local nuts, and flights of honey from around the region. Elevated guest experiences included the VIP experience with tastes from over 19 local chefs and Hospitality Suites with private lounges, catering, and bar service. Guests enjoyed live music and interactive installations, with a vintage flyover along the coast, adding an extra touch of spectacle.
During the La Jolla Concours, 113 jaw-dropping displays of automotive excellence competed in thirteen classes, including sixteen specialty awards.
